How to get to the apartment? |
By Car: Antibes is junction 44 on the A8, and then follow signs for the Vieille Ville. Antibes is approximately 750 miles by autoroute from Calais. There are two large car parks between the Ramparts (city walls) and Port Vauban. Otherwise parking in the town is increasingly limited as the Mairie seeks to discourage cars in the narrow streets of the old town. |
By Bus: Local bus services can be used to connect to local towns and are operated by the Sillages-stga service (http://www.sillages-stga.tm.fr) and the bus station is located near the Place Charles de Gaulle in the new town. There is a bus service between Nice airport Terminal 1 and the Place Charles de Gaulle. The route 200 runs takes approximately 45 minutes between Nice Airport and the Place Charles de Gaulle in the centre of Antibes. Timetables can be accessed through the Nice airport website (http://www.nice-aeroport.fr). |
By Train: The local train station provides connections through Nice and Monaco into Northern Italy. Westwards it reaches along the coast to Cannes before turning inland. Some high speed services (the TGV) stop at Antibes. These start in Paris and pass through Lyons and Marseille on the way to Nice. Bookings are mandatory for these long distance trains and it is recommended booking well in advance because the train is popular. |
Nice Airport (http://www.nice.aeroport.fr) is served by from the UK by Easyjet, British Midland, British Airways. Lufthansa and dba fly from Germany and there are many other international connections which can be found on the airport website. |
